O’Malley author of the book “Real Presence: What does it mean and why does it matter?” Tim recalls growing up as a Catholic in the South, how he fell in love with theology as a teenager reading the catechism on the bus, and his unfailling passion for all things intellectual. His book reveals the importance of understanding what the the Eucharist is and why it even matters.
In this Catholic Weird Stuff segment we discuss the Saints of the Black Death. During this dark period of time in history the Church went through a significant renewal, including the birth of many saints, inspired works of art, and new devotions that persist even till today!
