Our Story

Brought up in a Catholic, loving, and very imperfect household while attending Catholic school, I was exposed to important truths about our faith. Despite this Catholic upbringing, something was missing in my faith formation. I had not truly met the person of Jesus Christ. In my heart, "religion" had become an oppressive idea. I had become an agnostic flirting with atheism. I was depressed, lonely, aimless, and purposeless.

In my college years, I encountered Truth in the form of the person, Jesus Christ, and his love was beautiful. I fell head-over-heels in love with him and his Church. The groundwork that had been laid in my youth and had been lying dormant, was finally activated. I realized I had been asleep all of my life and I was finally awake.

I started AWAKEN Catholic with the hope of creating environments and opportunities for others to similarly encounter Truth through Beauty, and to AWAKEN in their Catholic faith.

A Universal Truth

Coming closer to Jesus heals personal wounds, sin, addictions, and fractured relationships. Jesus, who is God, is our salvation. Salvation isn't just for one day when we die and go to Heaven.

Salvation is now. Salvation is lived in every mended wound. Salvation is lived in every forgiven sin. Salvation is lived in every broken addiction. Salvation is lived in every reconciled relationship. Salvation is now.

Truth Through Beauty

Through our events, media, music and products, we present the Truth who is Jesus, by means of beautiful, honest, and meaningful productions and messaging. Too often, the Truth is presented in a package that, rather than inspiring faith, ensures the Truth will be rejected.

The Truth is beautiful.
The package should be too.
